New battery in the V6 - cuts out after 3 seconds - Any suggestions?

I replaced the battery a few months ago, and have only used the V6 rarely since. Now it comes on for a few seconds at a time, or not at all.

A few months isn’t really long enough for battery degradation, that is unless it’s been stored where the temperature is varied or it’s been sat idle for a long time. Give Understanding Battery Degradation a read and see if anything rings true.

If not, might be worth looking over the online diagnostics. It could simply be the charger isn’t working right.

Hi @flloydwith2ells

Thank you for raising this with us.

All machine variants will have a MAX mode run time of 6 minutes.

Using no motorized heads, the machine will have a run time of 20 minutes.

Using the motorized heads, the machine will run between 14 and 17 minutes, subject to machine variant.

As you advised, you purchased a power pack a few months ago. All parts purchased directly from Dyson come with a 1-year Dyson warranty. If you are still in the warranty period, you can contact our customer service team to resolve this matter for you.

I would recommend that you get in contact with the Dyson Contact Centre.

You can find the Dyson Helpline number in the ‘Contact us’ section of the page.

Best wishes,
