Hi @JillRey,
Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thanks for taking the time to share your feedback!
Dyson DC24 was certainly revolutionary back when it first launched in 2008. Weighing just 5.4kg, it still managed to include pioneering Dyson Ball™ technology and Root Cyclone™ technology, as well as a handle that compressed for compact storage.
We don’t currently plan to resurrect DC24, as our technology has evolved and improved since DC24 was developed, but we do still include corded upright vacuums in our range. At 7kg, the Dyson Ball™ Animal upright weighs a little more than DC24, but offers many of the same features. There’s also a longer power cord and hose for greater cleaning reach, plus enhanced cleaning performance on carpets and hard floors: https://www.dyson.co.uk/vacuum-cleaners/uprights/ball-animal
I know you’ve mentioned you’re not a fan of cordless vacuums, but our new Dyson V12 Detect Slim™ vacuum has a single button power control - so you don’t have to hold down a trigger to keep the machine running. It’s also lightweight and compact, at just 2.2kg - and with a maximum of 150AW, it actually has more suction than DC24. Hope this helps!
