Dyson customer service absolutely horrible


I am exhausted talking with customer support and basically have no recourse now and nowhere to turn.  I’m out a $700 vacuum with an inadequate replacement.

 

Bought a Dyson small-ball and the motor blew in two years.  Then they replaced with another and that motor also blew. 

Now the Dyson small-ball are discontinued so they sent a replacement vacuum call a Dyson Allergy but it sucks up all my area carpets and it very, very heavy.  I asked them to replace and they said they have nothing but the cordless that are as light as my Dyson small-ball but they refused to take back my Dyson Allergy (which I cannot use!!), and send me an adequate replacement.

 

I even spoke with a “manager” today (my 3rd phone call in 3 weeks) and I could barely hear her for all the noise of people in the background.  I explained my issue THREE times.  And for the FOURTH time of her asking me what was wrong with my vacuum and that they would just repair it (what???) I actually hung-up.

 

But now I don’t have an adequate vacuum and ZERO recourse.

My experience is similar, terrible, but to further add insult to injury i have been advised to dump a perfectly viable part as dyson cannot seem to issue a returns label, so they just issued a refund as told me to dump the perfect, but wrongly supplied part.

that is sad.

No, not sorted out at all.

Someone reached out by emails They refused to replace my vacuum with a suitable model. They thought offering me 30% was a resolution. My current vacuum replacement sucks up all the area rugs it’s a horrible vacuum and also way too heavy. 
I just wanted a replacement for my animal small ball (who’s motor blew twice!)

I will be sure not to recommend Dyson to anyone, expensive yet disastrous vacuums. And customer service so poor that they don’t resolve the problem at all.

We're sorry you're unhappy with the resolution offered. It won't be possible to exchange your vacuum once again for a different format of machine. Therefore, as a one-time gesture of goodwill, you've been offered a 30% discount off a future purchase.

It won't be possible for us to override the resolution you've been offered by your local Dyson Customer Care team, but we will be happy to pass your feedback on your experience along to the right people for you.


But you’ve not provided a resolution at all! 
I'm willing to return your heavy and useless brand new vacuum (so called replacement of my animal small ball) so in the end you win as you can re-sell it.

However asking me to ‘purchase’ another vacuum from Dyson to resolve this incredibly BAD experience - no way in the world would I ever buy another Dyson product .
