Dyson WashG1 cleaning the motor housing. Is it waterproof?

I am very happy with the G1. But 4 pets means I need to stay on top of the hair. There is always some that is hard to wipe out under the motor housing despite it looking easy on the maintenance video. Obviously the motors work in a damp environment but would it be safe to gently wash/ house out the bottom of the machine around the motors?

Hi @Rex95,

Apologies for our delay in following up on your question.

We would suggest sticking to the steps shown in our Maintenance video guide. It’s safe to use a damp cloth or brush to access areas on the underside of the cleaner head, but the cleaner head shouldn’t be submerged or subjected to high-pressure water, just in case damage is caused.
