We have a Dyson V8 that is only 7 months old; it’s used in a Pharmacy tea room.  The machine is used by numerous people and somehow overnight it now is making a scraping noise on the floor.  Has anyone had this happen ?  I’m trying to work out the problem with no knowledge of the machine.

Hello @PPP

I am happy to help. It sounds as though there may be something inside the cleaner head that may be rubbing as it spins. I would suggest removing the brush bar to check inside to see if there is something stuck. Please find the two videos below depending on if it is a soft cleaner head or the motor head. Please notes, the video with the soft clearheaded shows how to wash it, but it also shows you how to take it apart so you can take a look inside.

Motor Head:

Soft Cleaner Head

I hope this helps.
