V10 Cyclone rollers will not spin on my machine, but do on others

I connected the roller directly to the machine body, but, although power is getting to the head, it won’t spin. There is no problem when attaching directly to another Dyson Cyclone. Have tried all my rollers with the same results.

Customer service say I need to replace the main body, but I’m not prepared to shell out £105 if there are other things I can check. The CS person said there was no alternative to the replacement.

Can anyone suggest other things to check and/or clean.

Hi @ArthurB,

If the brush bar will not spin on your machine but does on others, this does likely means a replacement Main body assembly is needed.

Please note that the part when purchased directly with Dyson will carry a full 1-year warranty. Of course, it’s up to you whether or not to order a replacement and get your machine up and running again.
