Purchased my first dyson air wrap in may 2023. It worked fine until it suddenly stopped turning on in September 2023. I was surprised since i thought a product that i spent $700 on would last me longer than 4 short months. I had kept the product and in pristine condition and changed the air filters regularly. Nonetheless, after getting a hold of tricky customer service, they agreed to have me send back the defective dyson and send me a replacement.
Fast forward to May 2024. The replacement broke again for seemingly no reason. After doing gymnastics to get a hold of dyson support, Mohammad T told me that since i had not been able to show him my receipt of the purchase from the original dyson that i bought in May 2023, that he would not be able to do anything on his end. What a ridiculous assertion; does dyson expect their customers to keep receipts from 1.5 years ago? I bought the product at Best Buy and was given a paper receipt. I was not informed by anyone that supposed to keep that, and i didn’t think the product would break twice in less than 2 years! I argued that I have a Mydyson account, and all of my information should be there, since i registered both products on that account. I even showed him proof of the email they sent me regarding my replacement dyson in Sept 2023, but nothing was good enough. He told me that he would speak to his supervisors, and they would email me in 24-48 hours. This was one week ago, and I still have received nothing. Dyson does not care about their customers, and they make cheap products. My 30$ Revlon hair dryer from target is better quality and I get better customer service at Mcdonald’s. What a terrible product and horrible customer service experience, and a massive waste of time and $700.
Dyson, my chat ID reference number is 40983159, if you even care to look into this. My next move is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. BUYER BEWARE.
