Dyson Corrale and Virgin Atlantic - Travel conditions

Just confirmed with Virgin Atlantic that you cannot take the Dyson corrale on their planes. They limit lithium batteries to 160watts and the corrale is 200. So disappointed as bought this for my holidays.

Hi @Diane 60

Thanks for highlighting - it’s sad to read you won’t be able to travel with Dyson Corrale.

Whilst the Dyson Corrale has been designed to meet International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regulations regarding products powered by batteries that produce heat, airline approval is still required if you're travelling.

In those instances where the airline do not approval travel with the Dyson Corrale™ straightener, Dyson are unfortunately not able to intervein, even in changes to their policy - although, I have made our brand team aware of the change you’ve mentioned.

For future reference, in those instances where the airline do approval travel, the Flight-ready tag must be removed from the machine and not replaced until you arrive at your destination. More information on this process can be read here - Dyson Corrale™ straightener - Flight mode, how does it work?

Thanks,

Stuart
