Anyone have a good source for aftermarket Dyson parts because surprise it isn't Dyson. I have an absolute+ first gen Dyson. Worked great until 6 months after the 2 year warranty ran out. Come to find out they are on gen 5 (which if you are already 5 generations deep on an outside sounds like you may have some issues).
I need a new motor/screen and don't feel like spending an additional $330 on a vacuum I already dropped $1000 on. Dyson forces you to buy the motor plus all the other plastic around it despite none of that being broked. I think it's reasonable for a customer to expect that a $1000 vacuum would have a longer lifespan, based on my conversations with customer service I guess they don't...I have to admit I'm more than a little frustrated with Dyson forcing you to buy all the other components just replace the motor. The only rationale is it's either a bad design or straight up predatory but not shocking for a company that charges $1000 for a vacuum not even manufactured in the USA. It's either fix it or at this point I'd rather spend the money on a new vacuum based on Dysons excellent (*sarcasm*) customer service.
Fair warning to anyone looking to buy a Dyson…
