I used to have still have a DC14 and it plugs in and charges very handily. WOuld a V8 charge on the same structure?
I am certainly not going to buy a V8 if it does not.

Major confusion. Are you referencing to the charger or the dock?

As our cordless vacuums and battery technology have evolved, so too have the charging cables and docks that come with them. All new Dyson cordless vacuums will include a compatible charging cable, and most will also include either a wall-mounted or floor-standing dock as well. You can store and recharge the machine in the dock between uses, or if it’s more convenient you can plug the charging cable directly into the machine.
