No boost

We activated the warranty at time of purchase and have the V15 which is almost 2 years old.  It works fine on Eco & Med, but on Boost it starts up and then almost immediately drops back to Med.  The filters etc are clean.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Hi @Surfer

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

The overall run time may vary depending on the power mode, floor type, and tool being used. Any changes to the run time can take up to 30 seconds to appear on the digital display.

Eco mode: Maximum run time for longer cleans all around your home.
Auto/Med mode: The optimum balance to clean all floors.
Attach your cleaner head or Hair screw tool to activate Auto mode, which automatically adapts power between carpets and hard floors.

Suction power automatically adapts to dust levels.
Boost mode: Designed for intensive cleaning on ground-in dirt.

Eco Mode Up to 60 minutes

Med/Auto Mode Up to 40 minutes

Boost Mode Up to 12 minutes

The overall run time can vary depending on the power mode and tool being used.

These simple checks should help rule out any obvious issues, and it may be possible to resolve this on the spot!

If you need further troubleshooting help after trying these steps, please contact Dyson Customer Care directly for further support Visit dyson.com and click Support for the contact options for the Dyson Customer Care team in your region.

Thanks we have been using the unit for nearly 2 years without any issues.  Only recently has it refused to work on boost.  It will switch to boost for about a second or two, before stopping.  No issue with the other modes, but they do not offer the suction power of the boost.
