Animal ball 3 won't recline and the hoses are not blocked

My animal 3 was reclining and after using it, paused and turning it back on, it won’t recline.  I checked the hoses for blockage and all was clear. I don’t know what or how to check anything else and need help! Prior to it being stuck, when moving it from room to room, it very often would recline without wanting it to when moving. So did something break inside the ball? I can only get the cover off to change the filter but not the other side.

Hi @PamG,

Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thanks for letting us know about this.

Usually this issue will be caused by an item such as a pen trapped in the changeover valve mechanism within the Ball:

As you’ve mentioned you’ve already checked and don’t believe your machine has a blockage, we’ll need our experts to take you through some further troubleshooting checks when you have your machine to hand. If a repair is needed, they’ll be able to discuss your options with you.

We'll look forward to speaking with you!
