Multiple Floors Maps Docks

Have a new vis and have multiple floors & a sunk living room. How best to think about getting more than one dock versus moving robot & dock?  Any pros/cons beyond the obvious? Also how does the unit know where it is? Just based on what area / map you tell/schedulel it to vacuum?

Hi @Sjenkins,

Welcome to the Dyson Community, and congratulations on your Dyson 360 Vis Nav™ robot!

To create a secondary map, you’ll need to initiate the mapping session with your Dyson robot starting from the additional dock. To then make use of this new map and any zoning or restrictions you apply, it would need to start from the dock each time. This would also mean the robot would be able to automatically recharge itself partway through a clean, then carry on from where it left off - in addition to obeying any zoning or restrictions you've created.

Hope this helps!
