Dyson Corrale™ straightener: Six tips to help maximise run time | Dyson Community
Skip to main content

We’ve handpicked six top tips that we believe will help you to maximise the run time on your Dyson Corrale™️ straightener.

  1. For maximum run time, start styling from full charge.
  2. Place in the dock between passes, to help boost charge.
  3. Try slow, even passes for more battery-efficient styling.
  4. If your battery is running low, connect the cable while styling for use in ‘Hybrid’ charge mode.
  5. For longer styling sessions use Hybrid charge mode. Start from fully-charged and keep the cable connected.
  6. Once finished, connect the cable or place on the dock to charge – ready for your next styling session.

In case you didn’t already know, in just 40 minutes your straightener will charge from 0 to 90%.

Hybrid charge mode - Explained

In Hybris charge mode, your straightener adapts its power source. While heating up and styling your hair, it draws power from the battery and cable. Between passes, when the plates aren’t touching your hair, the cable charges the battery to help give you a longer run time.

We recommend you fully charge the straightener between uses.

I have long hair (below shoulders and above elbows) and while I love the performance, I have had two Dyson Corrales die on me despite using hybrid mode consistently. I can only get halfway through my hair if it isn't plugged in. Please make a normal corded version!! I need to buy another one now because it's past the warranty period and I'm so torn to spend the large amount of money again for it to die AGAIN.
