Display stand for the new supersonic r hairdryer

When will a display stand be available for the new supersonic r hairdryer?

Sadly, the display stand currently available for the previous professional supersonic will NOT work for the newest addition to the Dyson hairdryer family.

Which leads me to another question: What will be done with all these accessory pieces that are no longer relevant to the newest dryer? Is there a recycle program? What happened to the idea of sustainability in engineering with this latest design?

Hi @HairbyYogi,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

The Dyson Supersonic r™ Professional hair dryer’s brand new lightweight format means it’s not compatible with existing Dyson Supersonic™ accessories or display stands, as you’ve noticed.

There is a suitable display stand for the Dyson Supersonic r™ - if you let us know which country you’re based in we can check to see if it’s available locally yet.

With your existing display stand or any other additional accessories, you could choose to rehome them if you know anyone with a compatible machine. Or if you’d prefer, they can be responsibly disposed of at any household recycling centre, as they’re made of high-grade, recyclable materials.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your response, Jack.

For the display stand, I live in New York state (US).

For future manufacturing of bits & parts headed to the US market,  the ‘recycle symbol’, a triangle consisting of arrows moving in the shape of the triangle, is stamped on products that can be recycled. Inside the triangle is a number indicating the material it is made of. Without this symbol, the item in question will end up in a landfill, at best.
Thank you,

HairbyYogi
