Dyson V8 vacuum got stuck on the charger

My Dyson V8 vacuum got stuck on the charger.

I’m pulling and pushing it in all directions, but can’t get off the charger.

I’ve had the vac for a few years. Most of the time I used to put it on the changer and remove easily, sometimes it would resists a bit but now it got stuck for real.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Jack,

Thanks for your reply.

You’re right to spot the after-market battery, however the problem existed before I got it.

My wife managed to pull the vac out, and I examined it carefully.

It's the electrical connector that gets stuck in the receptor - both are genuine Dyson parts.

Anyway, now I know which part to wiggle next time it gets stuck.

Hi @oleg620,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

From your image, it appears your machine has been fitted with a non-genuine replacement battery pack. It’s possible this is the cause of the issue you’re now experiencing. Only by using genuine Dyson parts and accessories are you ensuring your machine continues to work as intended. Using imitation Dyson parts may result in damage being caused, and your Dyson guarantee becoming invalid.

Unfortunately in this instance there isn’t much we can recommend other than trying to carefully pull your machine away from the Wall dock using a firm, constant force.

Sorry we’re not able to help further on this occasion.
