Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool myDyson | No longer showing any live status data in the app

I bought the Dyson Cool Smart Air Purifier almost 2 years ago now. It was brilliant and did everything I wanted but unfortunately it broke down (thankfully it was just before my Warranty was due to expire). Dyson were great and sent me the new Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool AutoReact.

I was excited about this because I was expecting essentially the same thing, with the exception that this also heats. I was wrong. The machine was notably smaller (not a problem) but the biggest utility came with the app integration, which is now completely non-existent with the latest updates.

You had access to routines in Alexa or whatever voice assistant that was most useful to you at home, meaning you could schedule the fan to go off or on, you could control the machine remotely on your phone even if not at home, you had access to all of the historical data about the air in your room/house and temperature information both inside and outside, which could be used (again) to turn off or on the machine. Now without the app integration it’s been turned into an expensive dumb fan. Please bring the Home Screen back.

Attached pic of current “Home Screen” (with Machine Fundamentals & Discover Dyson) vs previous “Home Screen” (showing air quality and temp in the Bedroom, air quality and temperature in London etc)

The auto react versions don’t have Wi-Fi and therefore no smart connectivity or a way to communicate air quality data to the my Dyson app via the cloud.

The auto react models were introduced to combat the chip shortage as part of the pandemic but technically are a downgrade to their non auto-react counterparts. If your previous model that broke had this functionality I’d ask for an equivalent or upgraded machine. Maybe worth calling customer service
