Can I use my US-bought Dyson V11 Extra in Europe?

I got a v10 extra recently and got military orders to move to Germany from the US. I know I would definitely need a new wall adapter but will I need to purchase a new battery for a European model dyson as well?

If so, where can I purchase a new charger/battery?

Hi @Anton Green,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

You can find all relevant information on relocating abroad and recharging your Dyson cordless vacuum in your new country of residence in this Dyson Community article:

To confirm, it’s just the charger that will need to be replaced, and not the battery pack.

Hope this helps!

Hi Jack, i have recently moved from europe to US and brought my dyson v11 cordless vacuum cleaner going by the official responses on this community page . Unfortunately my battery is not charging even after purchasing official dyson US charger :-( and Dyson support centre has replied saying that they can’t do anything. Is there any way i can replace the machine or find a solution. My machine is rather new and i wouldnt have brought it here if it was not explicitly mentioned on this community page.

Hi @Dgop,

As advised in our initial response, there’s no issue charging your Dyson cordless vacuum abroad with a genuine, locally compatible Dyson charger.

In this particular instance it’s possible the battery pack or main body assembly is at fault. To help pinpoint the cause we'll need our Customer Care experts to take you through some further troubleshooting checks when you have your Dyson vacuum easily to hand. If a replacement part or a repair is needed, they’ll be able to discuss your options with you. Please be aware we do not offer an international guarantee, so repairs or replacement parts could be chargeable.

Please visit Dyson.com and click Support to get in touch with the right Dyson Customer Care team for your region.

We'll look forward to speaking with you!
