Cordless V7 - Cuts out after a few seconds after using Max power mode - Suggestions? | Dyson Community

Hello

After the V7 Vacuum was charged for a full day, the unit can be switched on and runs OK until you switch to Max power. After approximately 5-10 seconds the machine cuts out ant the blue light then flashes.

At this point the unit will not power on (in either normal or Max power mode). If you then charge the V7 for a few minutes it will then power on and switch on, but once again, if you switch to max the problem repeats.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

Battery or Main body issue (Trigger component). Worth ruling out a blockage to. Their My cordless vacuum cleaner is making a pulsing noise or switching off after a few seconds of use, what does this mean? post can help in both cases.

Places to check, filter washing reminder and then onto troubleshooting diagnostics if you’re still not able to solve it.

@AlanT1954. Blue flashing usually indicates a low battery. If there’s not enough charge, it makes sense for it to run out in Max mode. If it’s fully charged and still behaving like this, I’d say that it is the result of a battery degradation. Batteries above 2-years start to lose charge/cell capacity at a rate of 5% - 8% per year!
