I have bought a Dyson V10 and attached the wall mount.
It works great for hanging the Dyson and charging.
But why does it have an extra clear plastic pivoting base/platform.
What’s it’s use? Am I missing the point of this extra function?

I’d think its purely design and doesn’t serve a function past hiding the screws and wire from view. Mine clicks in at the base.

Putting an engineering hat on, I’d expect it helps to spread the weight of the cleaner.
