Articulating hard floor tool for Ball Animal 3 Usage Issue

Trying to make sure we are properly connecting the articulating hard floor tool.  It seems to connect directly to the hose and when being used seems to really stress the hose.  Any photos we have seen do not show being used with the ball animal 3.  Is there anything out there that shows how that tool should be properly connected?

Hi @kbeau242,

Welcome to the Dyson Community and thanks for your question.

It sounds like you’re doing everything correctly - with a Dyson upright vacuum like your Dyson Ball Animal 3, we’d expect the Articulating hard floor tool to be used attached to the end of the wand and hose, to gently vacuum delicate hard floor surfaces. To ensure the hose isn’t under too much stress, we’d recommend you keep the machine nearby while you’re cleaning.

The hose is made from tough, resilient materials - tested in our labs to reflect thousands of cycles of use - and shouldn’t sustain damage during use like this. The hose should be covered under your Dyson warranty if you happen to have issues at any point.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the reply. There is a picture on the site for this model that shows the telescopic handle. The wand has the handle attached and the person is cleaning under a lounge chair and there is a cat sitting on the chair. That was a feature I really wanted because it would make it easy to reach in and around objects. I see now that is not an option which is disappointing. Dyson should consider removing that photo or updating the photo.

Thanks again.
