I received the Dyson supersonic as a gift for Christmas in 2022. It died less than a year later. I received my replacement in August 2023 and that one has now died as well. Their response, I pay for shipping, send it to Calgary, they’ll fix it, I pay for the cost of repairs and then they’ll send it back. Unfortunately I don’t have a backup dryer as I assumed one that cost $700 would be the only dryer I needed. Shouldn’t the warranty reset with the replacement which would mean the second dryer is still under warranty? Also, why is such an expensive product so faulty?! I take such good care of my things.
Warranty

Hi
Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thanks for letting us know about this.
To confirm, if you’ve received a replacement machine under warranty, the warranty period does not reset and will continue from the start date of your original machine’s warranty - so you’ve been correctly advised by our Customer Care team. The warranty period on a new Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer is 2 years, and outside of this period repairs or replacement parts would be chargeable.
I have reached out directly to gather some further information. Please check your Dyson Community private message inbox and provide the requested details.
I look forward to hearing from you!
