New Dyson WashG1 - Debris tray keeps coming off the machine

I purchased a Dyson WashG1 yesterday and after unpacking it today, I found that the Debris tray keeps falling down when I lift the machine.  I’ve checked that the roller mechanism is assembled properly and was able to get the machine working, as long as I did not try to lift it.

Is this normal?

Hi @IanHopkins,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

As long as the debris tray is correctly fitted, it shouldn’t fall out when you lift the machine.

For help resolving this under your Dyson warranty, your local Dyson Customer Care team are best placed to support. You can reach the Dyson Australia team via the contact details here.

Thanks Jack.  I’ve booked in to go to the Dyson Customer Care at Casle Hill next Wednesday and they hopefully will resolve the problem.
