If you are storing or transporting your vacuum in cold temperatures (below 3C°) and experiencing cut-out of the motor after 1-2 seconds, the unit is operating as-designed. I was experiencing some problems that are not documented in the manual and I have owned my cordless v8 absolute for 25 months. At first, I though the battery was bad. The symptoms were that I would remove the unit from its charging base and all 3 bars would show a fully charged battery. I would squeeze the trigger and the unit would stop after 1-2 seconds and the battery indicator would display a single flashing blue bar. It did not matter if a power accessory was attached, or nothing was attached. It also did not matter if the unit was in MAX SUCTION mode or normal mode. I called Dyson support, and they thought I needed a new battery. I am glad now that I did not order one. My unit is stored in the garage and for the last several weeks daytime temperatures have been below freezing. I never “connected the dots” for c

I'm asking via online because live in Auburn, Alabama, where there is no service center. Turn-off symptom occurs 3-5 seconds after power use 1. I tried it after washing the washable filter, but the symptoms are the same 2. Used after 100% full battery, same symptom 3.It was used after cleaning the dust container, but the symptoms are the same

Wash G1 Error Unable to start

When trying to start Dyson Wash G1, receiving the image on screen as if the handle needs to be lowered, and then it wont start, this problem was intermittent to start with, and now seems to be unable to start at all. Have done self cleaning / checked for any roller obstructions etc. and nothing clearing this issue. Can anyone advise ? Thanks in advance!

Wand for Built-in Dusting and Crevice Tool Not Locking

Hi everyone, I received a new Dyson V15 Detect Absolute today as a replacement for a defective V15 I had sent back. Right out of the box the wand that connects to the new built-in dusting and crevice tool is not locking into place. The button remains depressed and if I lift the vacuum up, the wand will just slide off. I’ve use a bit of force to try and engage it but I don’t want to break anything. Is there any trick to doing this? There was no noticeable obstructions and I didn’t see any damage to the clips inside the wand. I’ve already called customer support but they were useless in troubleshooting besides acknowledging the issue. They suggested a replacement wand - but it’s out of stock - so I’m basically left without a working vacuum until the wand is back in stock. Could be several weeks, and I’ve already been waiting a month for the replacement for my original defective vacuum. 😑 Any help would be appreciated. Best regards,B

Dyson Wash G1 Jammed Roller Drive

We bought a Dyson Wash G1 in June this year. Although it works quite well when it is working, it has not been a good experience. Now the machine reports that the rollers are jammed. In fact the problem is that one of the plastic gears driving the rollers is jammed - it happens even when there are no rollers in the machine and one gear, unlike the other, cannot be moved by hand. I’m looking for advice as to how to fix the problem. If you go to the Dyson support page this is not a listed device so there isn’t a way to report the problem there. The nearest Dyson repair centre is an impractical 1.5 hours away, so I don’t know where to turn to for advice. At this point the main option seems to be to disassemble the the head myself and try to fix the problem, and if that doesn’t work to throw it away. We also have the problem with the debris tray falling loose - it’s a bad design and will always be prone to coming away because there is not enough support in the catch to retain it properly. A

Dyson V11 turns off after a few seconds

Excuse my englisch, i am from Germany and i will try my best to describe the problem with my Dyson V11. Every time i want to vaccum, my Dyson turns off after 1-3 seconds.. when i turn it on again and again, the term my Dyson vaccums, gets longer and longer. The facts: -i use it since less than 1 year-the battery is charged-the on-Button is also totally fine (not cracked). A family member checked it. -the battery itself is totally fine (i ordered a new one, my problem with turning off after a few seconds was still the same)-i empty the dust container regularly-the display doesn’t show messages like: filter need cleaning or anything else So what could my problem be? Can anybody help? Thanks.

Dyson V11 / SV28 Dock compatibility question

Hey everyone, I am trying to figure out if my old v11 dock (part number 970778-01) will be compatible with my new V11/SV28 vacuum. Dyson V10 not for use with water?

I read that the Dyson V10 can not be used for wet cleaning such as mopping, yet I see after-market wet cleaning accessories that mop your floors or soak up wet spills. There seems to be different types of them. Wouldn't using them stuff up your Dyson V10? I'm assuming water would go inside the vacuum cleaner and stuff it up. I haven't bought any oof these accessories and am not intending to do so, but their descriptions say compatible with the Dyson V10..

Dear Dyson Customer Services, My current Dyson V7 Animal Extra Cordless Vacuum was bought refurbished from a Dyson outlet on 30/07/23: Model: V7 Animal Extra Cordless Vacuum I would like to put in a compliant against your Customer Services Department and the quality of the refurbished product your Dyson Outlet have sold me. I called and spoke to a member of your staff today and am very upset that the guarantee has now conveniently expired after a year and the battery has stopped holding its charge. I'm informed by a member of your staff that it's probably my fault due to using it once or twice a month for 15-20minutes use and then putting it back on charge. My previous model DC stick cordless Dysons battery lasted for over 4 years without issue! I'm then informed a new battery will cost £55 or I can send it in for repair at a cost of £99 I find this position untenable and cannot understand that you can sell a product through Dyson outlet that's not fit for purpose with a battery dying

V12s wet mop does not take detergent

I have a Dyson v12s submarine since over 1 year and upto now working perfectly. I have noticed that since a week, when I used the wet roller set, the until is not taking the detergent from the unit. I have checked the components such as the cap etc. All seem to be in place, and the mop rotates as well when ON. However the liquid is not taken from the detergent unit and sprayed on the roller mop. Kindly advise Thank you

I just bought the G1 Wash and the debris tray keeps falling out of the machine. What is the solution for this? It doesn’t seem to be properly attached to anything. The red filter tray fits well but the debris tray doesn’t. What are the exact instructions to make it stay?

Dyson V12 and Motorbar not able to clean carpets?

I purchased some time ago Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute. How I was surprised when I saw that the large Motorbar cleaner head cannot clean even the thinnest carpet. I’ve reported that to Dyson support. After some time they agreed to replace the device to a brand new one. Unfortunately when I got it, the same issue occurs. So the question is: is it just me who is so unlucky or Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners (or at least this model) are not able to clean carpets at all? Submarine leaves dirty streaks on floor

Hello, When using the submarine attachement, it’s leaving streaks on the floor as well as debris or even dirty water on white tile. It seems like this is a normal occurrence as I just googled reviews. Is there anything that can be done to stop this from happening? I saw a similar review but with no resolution. I might have to return the product given this is the main reason why I bought it - for the submarine attachment. Alison

Cordless V15 pulsing only with laser head (at altitude)

My new V15 pulses and displays false “airways blocked” message only when using the laser head on bare floors on auto power setting. It works fine on auto with all other attachments. I live at 9150 ft. above sea level. The machine was sent to Denver (5280 ft.) for repair, and they could not duplicate the issue. If I reduce suction power to eco, it works fine. In looking at the airway of the laser head, the diameter of the inlet is smaller than the other heads and attachments. Could this be an air pressure sensing issue? Anyone else at altitude with this problem?

Can I get these product details?

Our house is all hardwood with some area rugs. I want some specifics on the machine. #1. How long does it take to recharge the batteries? #2. The Spec say cleans upto 3100 sq feet. My guess is that would be at the lowest water setting and or lowest power consumption setting. How much area does the machine clean at max water use and max power settings? #3. I live hundreds of miles from any Dyson store, but forturnately only 40 miles from the Norcross GA repair location. Will they have units that I can examine and hopefully see demonstrated?

WashG1 not dispensing or collecting water

I picked up our new WashG1 today and it barely dispenses any water even when using the Max button. I see a few feeble streaks on the floor but that’s all. Also whereas Dyson’s Self-Clean video shows quite a bit of water coming back to the dirty pot I don’t see a single drop. I was on the phone to customer support but they couldn’t offer any advice other than returning it. to John Lewis. Before I take that step, am I wrong to be expecting more water or is there some trick that I have missed. Very ironic if it’s called a wet cleaner when it’s mainly dry

Why won't my brand new V15 Fluffy Optic Roller turn on, work, engage?

Why won't my brand new V15 Fluffy Optic Roller turn on, work, engage? Brand new unit, bought at Costco, fully charged before first use. No, there are no clogs, obstructions, etc. The green light and roller have quickly flashed, indicating that there is a possible short. Is my unit defective (I hope not, this would be my 3rd defective Dyson product in a row). I am hoping there is a simple user error. The manual says turn the lazer on----there is NO on/off switch on this model (face palm). For what its worth, my carpet roller works just fine. Just not the Fluffy roller. I have also tried following the troubleshooting instructions of connecting the Fluffy Optic roller directly to the bucket without the want attachment. No luck.
