Is there any way to turn on a v10 for extended vacuuming, or does one have to depress the trigger manually at all times?

Hi @dibonacj,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

The Dyson Cyclone V10™ vacuum includes an on/off trigger control which needs to be held down in use, to help maximise runtime. For greater comfort, it’s designed to fit flush with the hand grip as you hold and use the machine.

Some newer Dyson cordless vacuums including the Dyson Gen5detect™, the Dyson V12 Detect Slim™, the Dyson Omni-glide™, and the Dyson Micro 1.5kg vacuums have included an on/off button which only needs to be pressed once, and not held down continuously.

Hope this helps, but let us know if you have any further question!
