How to set up and use your Dyson Big Ball™ 2 cylinder vacuum
How to assemble and use your Dyson Big Ball™ 2 cylinder vacuum. Please note - the colourway, floor tools and attachments of your machine may differ to the example shown in the video, but the process remains the same.
How to empty your Dyson Dyson Big Ball™ 2 cylinder vacuum's clear bin
The latest Dyson cylinder vacuums include a hygienic bin emptying mechanism which drives out trapped dust and dirt.
- It's important to empty the clear bin as soon as dust and debris reaches the Max line on the outside of the bin. Don't overfill your machine - this can impact performance, and will mean you need to wash your filter more often.
- After switching off and unplugging your machine, you can remove the clear bin and cyclone from the vacuum with the red catch on the carrying handle as shown.
- To release the dirt, firmly push the red bin release button. The bin will slide down, wiping clinging dust, hair and debris from the perforated metal shroud as it goes.
- The bin base will then open, allowing the dirt to exit. Please note, the bin base will not open if the red button is not pushed down fully.
- Close the clear bin by pushing the bin base upwards until it clicks into place.
How to check for blockages on your Dyson Big Ball™ 2 cylinder vacuum
If your Dyson Big Ball™ 2 cylinder vacuum doesn't seem to be picking up as well as it should be, this may be due to a temporary blockage. A blockage could occur if an item too large for the machine has been accidentally vacuumed up.
- After switching off and unplugging the machine, please follow the steps shown in the video to locate and remove any obstructions from the floor tool, wand, wand handle, hose or internal duct.
- The same principles apply to other floor tools and accessories.
