hair screw tool: fabric safe?

Hello friends - I just purchased a V12 slim detect and love it. My son the French Bulldog Hugo is fond of my brand new couch. I love both Hugo and my new couch. My question is - is the hair screw tool safe to use on furniture? My couch fabric is a bit “nubby” too. I’m sure it is effective, but don’t want to damage my couch. Appreciate any feedback.

Hi @caristocrat,

Welcome to the Dyson Community, and congratulations on your new Dyson V12 Detect™ Slim vacuum!

The Hair screw tool is engineered for use on carpets and fabrics which aren’t accessible with the main motorised cleaner heads - upholstery, stairs, mattresses, pet bedding, and inside the car.

It’s been tested on a wide variety of popular upholstered surfaces, and should be safe for tackling Hugo’s hair on your new couch. But if you’re not sure, we’d suggest testing it on a small hidden area first. You could also check with the couch manufacturer, as they’ll be best-placed to advice on caring for their product.

Hope this helps!
