Hi ,

I recently purshased a Dyson airstraight in the USA and I bought a volt transformer for it to work but it’s so heavy and big and uncomfortable to use and really hard to travel with, I purshased this not even a month ago so the warranty is still available and I wanted to ask if I can exchange my Dyson airstraight that I bought from the USA for another one In the uk ? It’s still in perfect condition and only used twice .

Hi @Ssssss_ara

Welcome to the Dyson community!

I would like to inform you that a Dyson Airstrait™ straightener from the US is manufactured to operate at 120v - it would not be compatible with the UK's 220-240v current. This would be the case even if the plug was changed, as the motor, heating element and control electronics would also need to run on the correct current. For this reason we'd only ever recommend purchasing within your own country of residence to ensure we're able to support you in the event of a breakdown.
If you wish to use a machine with a USA serial number in the UK and encounter any issues with the machine, we will be happy to assist you with the best possible resolution.

You’re welcome to reach out to us at the Dyson community if you need further advice or support at any point!

Yes I solved the problem by using a volt transformer , but it’s a big machine and it’s also heavy . So my question if I went to the Dyson store in the uk can I exchange my Dyson airstraight bought from the usa for another that is able to work in the uk safely without any problems?knowing that I just bought it and used it twice and I still have the 2 years warranty .

and thank you for your answer
