My Dyson V8 has been switching on and off after only 15 minutes of use.
I've thoroughly checked every part for blockage, washed the filters, tried with a different floor attachment and cleaned out the bin too. But the pulsing doesn't stop. It only stops when I remove the prefilter. Does that mean there's something definitely wrong with the filter or there could still be another problem with it?

Turns out the cyclone mesh was clogged with dust and needed thorough cleaning. There wasn't a problem with the filter or anything else, once the tiny holes were cleaned up it worked perfectly again...thought I'd leave it here in case someone else encounters a similar problem.
