Feature request to manually adjust mapped area

Hi community! I just got the robot and am pretty happy with it so far (especially the suction power and the ability to move through certain obstacles). However there are certainly some areas I hope the robot can be better at: during mapping phase, the robot incorrectly mapped the office chair in the middle of the room as a bunch of walls (see picture), and cannot be corrected manually unless I do a full mapping again. If I move the charging station, the robot also wants to do a full remap. Here are some of my suggestions: improve the precision of the mapping process (probably longer term) probably allow remap by zone? allow the robot to update its knowledge of the map gradually (like it will update the map to remove the hole once it finds out it can actually go through it) allow adjusting the mapped area (at least for certain areas like I would like to remove the hole at the top left of the map as it’s actually a chair) allow manually adjusting the location of the charging base in th

V11 Animal won't move from ECO to AUTO to BOOST (no power mode switching capability)

Bought the most expensive stick vacuum on the planet and with that I expected top notch quality, engineering and durability!!!! Wrong!!!! First disappointment was the 25 cent plastic trigger that cracks on every (I’ll bet) Dyson!!! If a person can’t figure out how to replace, that person will pay $100+ to get it repaired!!@! And now my Dyson will not switch power modes!!! Any clue on how to repair this????????

Frustration for parents of child with cancer

I'm not looking for any solution, I just wanted to vent because I'm so frustrated with dyson products and their customer service. Thank you in advance for reading this.I bought my dyson cordless vacuum when my 21 months old son was diagnosed with Leukemia on April because we have to keep the house clean due to him being immune compromised when he gets strong chemo. I thought a vacuum with a good Hepa filter would be perfect.But we had a little problem with a main part so I contacted the costumer service on July. Even though, the part was out of stock, I decided to wait for the part because exchange didn't work for our situation. We have to clean the house everyday for my child so how could we send my current one and wait for the new one with indefinite timeline? Also I didn't feel right about buying a temporary vacuum after purchasing over 500$ dyson vacuum. It's been over 3months so far. I haven't received any email yet about the part being stock so I contacted customer service again

Purchased the airstrait and my hair has been falling out since. Returned and customer care never responded to complaint. I own their hairdryer and have used the airwrap with no problems so made the mistake of trusting their product. I noticed the hair loss 2 days later as my hair was literally shedding in my hands. My hair is still falling out weeks later. I have cried many times. This hair has come from the root. My hair when straight reaches the very end of my back. I have 3c curls. I have lost so much hair and don't understand how this could have happened from one use, and how there are no reviews discussing this. Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and how they made it stop.

Request for Resolution and Discount Adjustment

Hello,I am writing to express my disappointment with the service surrounding my recent purchase. On 07/10, I placed an order, applying a discount code your website had available. Unfortunately, this transaction has been overshadowed by a series of delivery issues that have caused significant frustration.I opted to collect the item from my nearest post office—a secure address—yet the courier failed to deliver the package on the first attempt. There was no notification of the failed delivery, contrary to your stated delivery policy, and the package was returned less than 24 hours after this "attempt." I was not given any opportunity to retrieve the order or take action before it was sent back.When I contacted your customer service team for assistance, the agent I spoke with was unable to offer a solution other than re-placing an order with no mention of the discount, citing procedural constraints. Broken Airwrap right out of the box!

I purchased a refurbished Dyson Airwrap on September 5, 2024. I was very excited to receive one, as the website promises all refurbished products are tested and come with a 1 year warranty. My airwrap arrived on September 10, 2024. Upon immediately plugging it in, it was broken. I tried every outlet in my apartment, but alas, nothing. I called customer service and received no help. I had to show them the broken airwrap via a video call multiple times, following their instructions of reseting the outlet, cleaning the filter, blah blah blah. Nothing worked. Finally after an hour of speaking with customer service (half of which was spent on hold), they told me I had to ship the airwrap back and a new one would be sent. I asked if it would be brand new or refurbished, they said it would be refurbished. I asked if I could just get a refund, they said no. I asked if the refurbished one would actually work, they said “hopefully.” Hopefully???!!! I am not paying $400 for something to hopefully

Faulty Hoover

Hi all - a year ago I invested in a Dyson Hoover costing over £250. I thought a great company with a fabulous product with a British Inventor at the heart of the company - its worth investing in something that will see me through the next few years.Recently the battery stopped charging on the hoover and also the tubes stopped clicking together. I contacted Customer Services (via their Chat facility) and arranged collection of my hoover so it could be repaired. At this time I was also charge £100.The day of collection came and as it was an all day option I had to take a days holiday so I could be home. On the morning of the collection I received an email that said DPD cant not collect and I would be given another date soon.I contacted Customer Services again just now and have another collection date booked for 2 weeks time and have also been guaranteed an urgent refund.My gripes: I asked to file an official complaint and have been told there is no process in place to do this - why i

Dyson V8 Absolute design flaws?

Dear all, I have been trying to get an email address with no success to bring this to the attention of someone in Dyson land with technical responsibility so resort to here for any suggestions or remarks.I own a Dyson V8 Absolute cordless vacuum. There seem to be 2 design flaws which are basic IMO.when using the powered anti hair wrap agitator brush the rear large (~3cm dia) disc wheels leave pairs of ugly tramlines across my carpets. The wheels are fairly old traditional design concept to allow easy steering, angled conical discs. But on this floor head they seem much sharper on the outer edge than my old dyson. Being the case they dig in to the carpets and leave pairs of ugly lines where I have covered the floor. Any suggestions? The dust bin has an internal plastic web from the base to the internal cylinder right at the front of the unit. When the debris is collected in the bin this web stops the waste circulating evenly around the bin. So that when in use with the bin held and an

Extremely Disappointed with Dyson’s Customer Service?!

Well, since public reviews seem to be the only way to get Dyson to respond to their customers. I have been waiting for a replacement since July. My Dyson Airwrap was delivered to their warehouse on July 15, 2024, and it is now almost the end of October, 5 months later. Despite by multiple attempts to contact customer service, speaking to numerous representatives, who themselves have escalated this to numerous other supervisors, my item was at one time unable to be located, missing, and now I can not get a response to even see where my item is, if it’s been located, what Dyson is doing with it, or if I will ever receive a replacement, or my original item returned to me. I provided my serial number, my receipt of purchase and proof of delivery to their warehouse, all of which Dyson has had since July, which has then been given to countless supervisors. The lack of communication and extended wait time with no reconciliation are incredibly frustrating and unbelievably unprofessional for a

Missleading situation dyson.com.ro

Hi, I’m Pops and recently I’ve bought my second Dyson product, a Dyson air strait strawberry bronze from Dyson.com.ro Romania and honestly I felt very disappointed because in the product post it specifically said that it comes with a Dyson storage bag which I did not receive when I got my order! I must add that I had a conversation on the Dyson chat and the agent told me that i could benefit from a 10% discount ONLY if I give him my data and if I want to benefit from that discount I could only write them on the chat, so I did and I received a link for payment, with the purchase selected by the agent! Today when my order came, I saw that the storage bag was missing and I wrote once again to support and they told me it was a mistake and the storage bag does not fit the airstrait and that they can not send me one because it’s for the air wrap instead, and if I want I can return the product, which seemd very rude and unprofessional! V11 pulsing on Eco, Med and Boost. New Dyson filter hasn't fixed it. Motor problem?

HelloWe have a Dyson V11. The model with all the extra heads and accessories.Bought new about 4 years ago I think.The motor started pulsing a week ago on all power settings.We went onto the Dyson Support site and went through all the relevant troubleshooting via the Chat service. Definitely no blockages between brush heads and the dust collection bin. Removed the bin as per online instructions - no blockages. Was advised that a new filter at £39 would fix the problem so we purchased one from Dyson. The filter arrived today and it has NOT fixed the problem.The unit is still pulsing on all 3 power settings. No suction at the brush heads. I guess it's a motor problem or the battery needs replacing? Any thoughts welcome. RegardsGaribaldi22

Floor Dok™ Multi Dyson Gen5detect™ not available in The Netherlands and Belgium for Months

Hi All, I've been waiting for the Floor Dok™ Multi Dyson for the Gen5detect™ for months now and it's still not in stock for Netherlands. The Same goes for Belgium. If I look on the Dyson website in Germany, they do have it in stock. I've called Customer Service and they were not able to give me an answer. That is why I am asking my question on this community page. My question is: When will this be in stock for the Netherlands or rather will this ever be in stock for the Netherlands? Kind regards.

How can I get help receiving a refund for a returned machine?

Hi,I really need help please! I ordered a refurbished Dyson V8 on the 4th October on a special promotion. I was excited to receive it as I could not afford a new one. I received the Dyson on the 6th October but the brush was not turning and I had to return it in exchange for another Dyson V8. This machine was faulty too and I returned this one on the 14th October and it was delivered back to Dyson on the 18th October.Now Dyson’s terrible customer service is saying that they need proof of both returns before refunding me my money. I have proof of the second return but the first one was for an exchange. Their system does not reflect this!I don’t know what to do as all I get from their customer service (they should not call themselves customer service but customer hinderance department) is that they will escalate this issue to their team!I need my money back but there is no complaints department to contact!Please help![Moderation edit - title updated]
